Informal Working group

WELLCOSA Advisory Board consists of national and international Workplace Wellness Experts. The Board Members are corporate and community leaders who understand the need to include workplace wellness in their operating strategies and to promote healthy habits for their employees to help build a healthier community. The Board act as an informal working group to provide advice to WELLCOSA management as and when required.

Wolf Kirsten

Wolf Kirsten is a social entrepreneur and Founder of International Health Consulting based in Tucson, Arizona and Hamburg, Germany. His consulting portfolio is truly global, advising companies on health and well-being strategies. In addition, he has been consulting the World Health Organization (WHO) on developing global guidelines for Healthy Workplaces. Mr. Kirsten is co-founder of the Global Centre for Healthy Workplaces. He received his Master of Science in Health Promotion Management from American University in Washington.

Larry Chapman

Larry Chapman

Over the past thirty-five (35) years, Larry has been involved in the development of over 1,000 health management, employee wellness and health cost management projects in both private and public employer settings. His current areas of professional concentration include population health management, wellness and behavior change technology, worksite health promotion, demand management, integrated prevention, incentive technology and the use of innovative approaches to health management. Larry is the founder and current director for the WellCert Program. He has published over 190 articles and over 100 columns, contributed chapters to four major books and authored 13 other books on health management related topics.

Jim Strohecker

Jim is the CEO and Co-Founder of HealthWorld Online, the world’s first Internet network for wellness, he is co-creator of the Wellness Inventory assessment and life-balance program. A wellness visionary, Jim has focused on bringing fundamental principles of wellness into mainstream cultural awareness for over 30 years. Jim has served on numerous boards, including the President’s Advisory Council for Bastyr University, the Board of Trustees of the American University of Complementary Medicine and the Institute of Natural Medicine, and the Advisory Boards of Nourish America.

Harri is the Director of Serenity Health Group and is an experienced and seasoned professional. He has a flair for deal-making in numerous focus areas i.e. – Health/Medical, Environmental and Waste solutions, Education & Training, Engineering (especially Ports/Harbours, Maritime, Water, Petrochemical/Oil & Gas, Electricity, Renewable Energy Initiatives, etc), His mission is to create sustainable and suitable partnerships for international companies entering the Southern African context and seeking sustainable pathways into Africa. He is exceptional in identifying opportunities, niche areas of operation and finding synergistic partners internationally.

Dr LUCILLE MEYER (D.Ed)

Dr LUCILLE MEYER (D.Ed)

Lucille Meyer is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Chrysalis Academy. She has a BA majoring in Sociology and Communications from UNISA; M.Ed. in Adult Education from the Victoria University of Manchester in the United Kingdom; a Senior Leadership programme through Harvard University in Boston USA; MBA from UNISA and a MPhil in Management Coaching from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. In March 2018 she obtained her Doctorate in Education at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. In addition to being an Integral Yoga teacher, she is a Quantum Energy Coach and a Trauma Release Exercise (TRE) facilitator. Her project and organisational experiences include being Chief Director in the Office of Deputy President T.M. Mbeki; Assistant Secretary to Parliament; Chief Executive Officer of CapeNature until May 2011.
